WELCH, WV ATTRACTIONS

Welch provides numerous attractions for visitors and residents.  We offer many recreation and learning opportunities throughout the city, delicious eateries, and several lodging options. In addition to easy access from our ATV friendly town to miles of riding trails in our nearby mountains, our community offers numerous activities for tourists. Our parks offer sports, activities, and family fun.  Our public library has programs for readers of all ages. Our arts and culture center showcases the talents of West Virginia artists and performers. Be sure to stop by the newly opened Pocahontas Theatre to catch a movie!  Complimentary parking at the Welch Parking Garage (Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays) Enjoy downtown with safe, accessible parking...movies, shopping, the park and more!

Arts

The Jack Caffrey Arts & Cultural Center, located at 143 Wyoming Street is a historically renovated structure that welcomes heritage, education and business to the City of Welch. 

 

The mission of the JCACC is to remember our past, reawaken our heritage and re-imagine our future through arts and education.

Two single office spaces and a large event space are available for rent. Please contact Dolores Johnson or Michelle Whittaker at (304) 436-5392 for details.

COALTOWN USA DOG PARK

The Linkous Park in the City of Welch is now officially home to the CoalTown USA Dog Park!

We have it on good authority that, Coal thinks the place is #pawesome and urges everyone to stop by for a #tailwagging good time
