NOTICE OF CDBG PUBLIC MEETING
CITY OF WELCH
The City of Welch will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. during the regular sanitary board meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comments concerning the city’s resubmission of its FY2024 State/HUD Community Development Block Grant Application for consideration under the FY2025 Program. The proposed Welch CSO 5 Removal Project will replace approximately 9,100 feet of aging sewer line between CSO 5 and the City of Welch Wastewater Treatment Plant with a new 36-inch pipeline. The project will help reduce combined sewer overflow events that discharge untreated wastewater during heavy rainfall and will improve the reliability and capacity of the city’s sewer system. This work supports compliance with an EPA consent order and will protect local waterways and public health. Interested citizens are urged to participate.
